Dejan Lovren has claimed that the Liverpool squad "compares with every team in the world".
The Reds have reached this season's Champions League final, and they will take on Real Madrid for the biggest prize in European football at the end of this month.
Liverpool only finished fourth in the Premier League table, however, and needed a win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the final weekend to secure their spot in the top four.
Lovren has also seemingly taken a dig at Liverpool's rivals by claiming that money does not guarantee success.
"There are teams spending a lot of money and buying top players from all over the world but it is not about money - it is about your teammates," Lovren told reporters.
"We have a team squad that compares with every team in the world. We have shown that in the Champions League. We will now have a little rest and then we got to Spain for a few days team building and we will be ready for the final.
"The most important thing was that we beat Brighton and we are in the Champions League again. Everyone deserved that. Every year it is more difficult to get into the top four."
Liverpool will travel to Spain on Tuesday for a three-day training camp.
