Liverpool to try again with Brendan Rodgers?

Liverpool reportedly prepare to hold talks with Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers about the possibility of succeeding Kenny Dalglish this week.

Liverpool are reportedly expected to hold talks with Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers regarding the managerial vacancy at Anfield this week.

The Northern Irishman was originally on the Reds' wishlist but previously rejected the opportunity to speak to the club's American owners from Fenway Sports Group.

It is understood that despite Rodgers' initial snub, John W Henry and Liverpool chairman Tom Werner are eager to speak to the Swans boss as they prepare to announce Kenny Dalglish's successor, according to The Express.

Meanwhile, Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez, who has also been approached by the Merseyside outfit, is reportedly expected to make a final decision on his future tomorrow.
