Liverpool 'to drop Loris Karius against Middlesbrough'

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly decides to drop goalkeeper Loris Karius for the Premier League clash with Middlesbrough amid criticism over his recent form.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly decided to drop under-fire goalkeeper Loris Karius for this evening's Premier League clash with Middlesbrough.

Karius has come in for fierce criticism for his performances in recent weeks and was once again at fault for both goals in Liverpool's 2-2 draw with West Ham United on Sunday.

Klopp publicly defended the summer arrival, but numerous reports claim that Karius will not start this evening's game at the Riverside Stadium.

Instead, Klopp is expected to start with Simon Mignolet in goal for the first time since September.

Liverpool, who have kept just one clean sheet in eight away games this season, could move second in the Premier League table with a big enough victory over Boro.
