William Kvist "proud" of Fulham

William Kvist believes that Fulham did themselves proud against Liverpool and should soon start to pick up points.

Fulham's on-loan defensive midfielder William Kvist has insisted that the Londoners did themselves proud in their narrow 3-2 home defeat to Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Kvist said that all the players were disappointed to lose so late on, but with more performances like that they would start to pick up the points that they deserve.

"It's very disappointing but I'm proud of the way we played," Kvist told the club's official website. "We were playing against the in-form team and we searched for the possibilities in the opposing half.

"We created some chances and we kept the ball a bit better than against Manchester United on Sunday. That was an important thing for us and I think we got our shape right defensively, and our challenge and our next step is to be able to keep the ball a bit more, not just doing counter-attacks.

"We have new players, I'm a new player and we have others as well and we're improving every day at the training ground as a team. The next week will do us good to be really ready to go to West Bromwich Albion and get three points, no doubt about it."

Fulham take on West Brom at The Hawthorns next Saturday.
