Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: 'I won't rotate squad against Everton'

Manager Jurgen Klopp insists that he will not rotate his Liverpool squad for the Merseyside derby with Everton on Saturday.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that he has no intention of rotating his squad for the Premier League fixture with Everton.

Klopp faces the prospect of leading Liverpool in three matches in the space of a week, with the Merseyside derby being sandwiched between the two Champions League clashes with Manchester City.

Liverpool are struggling with a number of injury problems, but Klopp has insisted that he does not plan to make changes for Saturday's fixture at Goodison Park, like Pep Guardiola may do for City's showdown with neighbours Manchester United.

At a press conference, the 50-year-old told reporters: "I have no clue about how big Man City versus Man United is. I don't care, to be honest. But Liverpool versus Everton is a big one. I would love to prepare all week but we have only two days.

"We don't think about that at the moment but of course it is important for us. I cannot say the same thing as Pep."

Liverpool currently sit in third place in the top-flight standings, with a two-point deficit to Manchester United and a two-point advantage over Tottenham Hotspur.
