Liverpool full-back Glen Johnson has urged his side to build some momentum after he grabbed a last-gasp winner to earn the Reds a much-needed 1-0 victory over Stoke City this afternoon.
The England international showed great bravery to follow up Rickie Lambert's effort and end a torrid run of three straight Premier League defeats for the Anfield club.
"To be fair, I thought it [Lambert's header] would hit the crossbar and I set off early," said Johnson after the game, according to BBC Sport.
"We fought hard from the beginning. We haven't had that many great results and it's nice to work hard and win. We deserved today. Now we need to push on and build some momentum."
Liverpool currently occupy 11th spot in the Premier League table and jumped above Stoke courtesy of the win.
