Joe Allen: 'Wales' move up world rankings shows how far we've come'

Joe Allen believes that Wales' move to the top 10 of the FIFA world rankings is an indication of how far they've come under boss Chris Coleman.

Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen believes that Wales' move up the FIFA world rankings is a sign of how much the nation have progressed on the pitch.

Chris Coleman's side are expected to enter the top 10 of the list for the first time next month after sealing a 1-0 win over Belgium in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign on Friday.

"I guess that marks how far we've come as a nation," BBC Sport quotes Allen as saying.

"It's a great feeling when all the work you've put in over the last couple of weeks pays off."

Friday's win puts Wales, who were ranked 22nd prior to the match, back to the top of Group B.
