Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe promises tough game for Liverpool

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says that his side are now a lot harder to beat compared to the first half of the season, having lost two of their last 14 league games.

Eddie Howe has declared himself "pleased" with Bournemouth's form and insists that Liverpool will have a tough game on their hands this weekend.

The Cherries have lost just two of their 14 Premier League matches since Christmas - 4-1 defeats to Tottenham Hotspur and Huddersfield Town in March and February respectively.

Bournemouth also have a knack of hitting back late on in games, most recently doing so in the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace last time out, and Howe believes that his side are a match for pretty much anyone on current form.

"I think since Christmas we have been hard to beat," he told reporters at his pre-match press conference. "I wouldn't say we've been resolute defensively as we have conceded goals but we have refound our goalscoring touch and that's has been really important.

"Our creativity in our team has returned, our confidence in front of goal has returned, we have come back, which has been well documented lately, late on in games.

"We have just been harder to put away and I think our form since Christmas has been right up there with some of the best teams in the division. So we are very pleased with that and I think with five games to go we want to maintain that right until the end."

Liverpool have won four, drawn one and lost one against Bournemouth in their past six meetings.
