Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson insists that his side are improving under Brendan Rodgers despite inconsistency in their results.
The Reds have won three and lost two of their last five league games, most recently sandwiching a disappointing defeat to Stoke with comprehensive wins against Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.
Henderson believes that the win over QPR showed good character and is keen to continue their winning mentality.
"Many people could see we put in a good performance at QPR," he told the club's official website.
"We played some really good football, defended really well, scored some good goals so overall we are delighted. It's always good to bounce back from a defeat with a win in your next game and it was a good test of character for us.
"We just have to keep working hard and keep progressing. I definitely think we are getting better. We've just got to take each game as it comes and keep that winning mentality."
Liverpool, who now sit ninth in the Premier League table, face Sunderland in their next match.
