Kenny Dalglish says that he is not on the verge of leaving his post as manager of Liverpool.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has hit back at claims that he is about to be sacked by owner John W. Henry.

Rumours have suggested that the American owners have lost patience with the Scot following the Reds' poor campaign, recording their lowest ever points total.

Wigan Athletic's Roberto Martinez is believed to be in line to replace Dalglish, but the 61-year-old has now dismissed talk of losing his job.

"I expect the owners to have more dignity and integrity than to believe a story in a newspaper," said Dalglish.

Dalglish took charge of Liverpool following Roy Hodgson's departure in January of last year.
