Wales boss Chris Coleman up for Best FIFA Men's Coach 2016 award

Wales boss Chris Coleman is named among a 10-man shortlist for Best FIFA Men's Coach 2016 award.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has been named among 10 candidates for the Best FIFA Men's Coach 2016 award.

The 46-year-old upset the odds by guiding his national team to the semi-finals of the European Championships in the summer, eventually losing 2-0 to Portugal, who went on to win the trophy.

A handful of managers on the shortlist coach in the Premier League, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp in contention for the gong after leading the Reds to two cup finals - the League Cup and Europa League - last season.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has also been included, while Claudio Ranieri is a contender after winning the league title with Leicester City.

Pep Guardiola, who took charge of Manchester City in the summer, could be recognised for winning the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal with Bayern Munich last season, while Zinedine Zidane is in the list for Real Madrid's Champions League success.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique and Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone are also among the candidates.

Captains and managers of national teams, as well as football fans and the press, will vote via an online ballot.
