Adam Lallana has said that Liverpool showed "great character" to come from behind in their 6-1 win over Southampton in the quarter-finals of the League Cup at St Mary's.
Sadio Mane gave the home side the lead inside the opening minute of the match, but Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi were among the goals as Jurgen Klopp's side turned the match around.
The former Southampton midfielder told Sky Sports News: "That would have been difficult to believe. We started sloppily, but showed great character. [Sturridge] showed what he is about and credit to Divock as well. We have strength in depth if you look at the bench.
"We want to keep the momentum we have gained. It is not a miracle what [Klopp] has done, he has come in and put his ethos into the squad. We know we still have some way to go."
Liverpool will face Stoke City in the last four.
