Roberto Firmino is reportedly set to miss Liverpool's Champions League opener against AC Milan next month due to a hamstring injury.
The Brazilian limped off just before half time during the 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea in the Premier League last weekend.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Firmino underwent scans to ascertain the extent of the damage, though it is thought that the forward could resume training after the international break.
The 29-year-old was one of the final players in Jurgen Klopp's side to return to the first team for pre-season, having featured for his country in the Copa America.
Firmino was on the bench for Liverpool's opening two league fixtures against Norwich City and Burnley, before making his first start of the season at Anfield against Chelsea.
With a busy schedule of seven games in 22 days after the international break, Klopp will not want to be without the Brazilian for any significant period of time.
