Liverpool striker Divock Origi fit to face Everton in Merseyside derby

Jurgen Klopp says that Divock Origi is fit to play in Wednesday night's Merseyside derby after complaining of back soreness at the weekend.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Divock Origi is fit to start tomorrow night's Merseyside derby against Everton.

The Belgian striker only started as a substitute in Sunday's 2-1 win at Bournemouth, but came on for the final 15 minutes and reported back soreness at the end.

He did not train yesterday, but Klopp told reporters this afternoon that was just a precaution and that Origi can return to the starting lineup tomorrow at Anfield.

"Divock was only a little bit [of a problem] with the back – maybe from sitting on the bench! It was not a real issue," said Klopp.

"He felt it a little bit in the game and so we left him out of training yesterday but that was only not to take a risk. So that is OK."

Klopp also revealed that defensive duo Kolo Toure (cramp) and Martin Skrtel (groin) are set for late fitness tests.
