Liverpool injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Fresh from Tuesday's incredible win over Barcelona, Liverpool will go in search of the three points that could land them the Premier League title this weekend.

The Reds thumped Barca 4-0 in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night, which secured a 4-3 aggregate success and ensured that they would be present in the final of the competition once again.

Now Jurgen Klopp's side will switch their attention back to the league as they prepare to welcome seventh-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers to Anfield.

Heading into the final day, Liverpool are second in the table, one point behind Manchester City, who travel to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Only a win for Liverpool will do, and then the Merseyside giants will be looking for a favour from Brighton as an incredible title race draws to a close.

Here, Sports Mole has rounded up the latest injury and suspension news heading into the clash at Anfield.

LIVERPOOL'S INJURY LIST

Mohamed Salah

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Concussion
Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Wolves)

Mohamed Salah was stretchered off with a head injury in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United last weekend. A concussion ruled him out of the clash with Barca on Tuesday night, but there is a small chance that the Egypt international could be available for Klopp's side this weekend.

Roberto Firmino

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Wolves)

Roberto Firmino was not involved against Barca at Anfield due to a groin problem. The Brazilian has not officially been ruled out of the clash against Wolves, but it seems unlikely that he will be fit to return.

Naby Keita

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Naby Keita picked up a groin injury in the first leg of Liverpool's semi-final against Barca and the midfielder has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Adam Lallana

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Muscular
Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Wolves)

Adam Lallana has been on the sidelines since the middle of March with a muscular problem. The attacker has not been ruled out of the clash with Wolves, but it would still be a surprise if he made the 18.

Jordan Henderson

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Wolves)

Jordan Henderson completed the 90 minutes against Barca on Tuesday night despite suffering a blow to his knee in the first half. The England international, who was forced to undergo a pain-killing injection at the interval, should shake off the problem to feature for the Reds this weekend.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Wolves)

Only just back from a long-term knee injury, Oxlade-Chamberlain missed the second leg against Barca with a hamstring problem. That said, the former Southampton youngster could yet be involved this weekend.

Andrew Robertson

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: May 12 (vs. Wolves)

Andrew Robertson was forced off at the interval of the second leg with Barca after picking up a calf problem. The Scotland international will undergo a scan but is seen as a huge doubt for the game on Merseyside.

Liverpool have no players suspended for their final Premier League match of the 2018-19 campaign.
