Liverpool are drawn against Nottingham Forest or Huddersfield Town in the quarter-finals of the 2021-22 FA Cup after beating Norwich City 2-1 in the fifth round.

Liverpool have been drawn against Nottingham Forest or Huddersfield Town in the quarter-finals of the 2021-22 FA Cup.

Jurgen Klopp's side advanced to the last eight on Wednesday courtesy of a 2-1 success over Norwich City, with Takumi Minamino at the double at Anfield before Lukas Rupp's consolation.

In doing so, Liverpool advanced to the last eight of the FA Cup for the very first time under Klopp, and the Reds have been rewarded with a tie against Forest or Huddersfield for a place in the semi-finals.

The two Championship outfits will do battle in their fifth-round encounter on Monday evening, with Forest making it this far by dumping out 2020 winners Arsenal and reigning champions Leicester City.

Elsewhere, Southampton will host Manchester City, Crystal Palace will meet the winner of Everton or Boreham Wood, and Middlesbrough have been rewarded for their wins over Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur with a home tie against Chelsea.
