Liverpool's Alisson Becker claims a whopping 62% of the votes to beat Manchester City compatriot Ederson to the Sports Mole Goalkeeper of the Season award.

Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson Becker has been named Sports Mole's goalkeeper of the season in the 2018-19 Reader Awards.

The Brazilian marked his debut season in English football by winning the Golden Gloves, keeping 21 clean sheets in his 38 appearances and conceding a league-low 22 goals.

Liverpool ultimately missed out on the title to Manchester City by just a single point, but our readers have selected Alisson as their standout goalkeeper of the campaign with 62% of the votes.

Compatriot and Man City keeper Ederson was a distant second with 27.3% of the votes, while Cardiff City's Neil Etheridge rounded off the top three despite suffering relegation with the Bluebirds.

West Ham United's Lukasz Fabianski, who made more saves than any other keeper in 2018-19, accrued 3.3% of the votes, while Everton's Jordan Pickford claimed 2.5% to round off the shortlist.
