Emre Can has claimed that Liverpool's annihilation of Maribor in the Champions League will inspire the team to go on a run of victories.
Jurgen Klopp's men sealed a club-record 7-0 away win in Slovenia on Tuesday night, becoming the first English club in the Champions League to record as big a scoreline on the road.
Prior to the contest, the Reds had only picked up one win in their previous eight games in all competitions, but now the team are full of confidence heading into this weekend's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.
"It was great," Can told Liverpool's official website. "We didn't concede a goal, that's important as well, and then we scored goals, created good chances, and I think it was a deserved win. You have to score and that was the reason we didn't win the last games.
"Today we did it very well and I hope that was the game where it starts now again, the winning ways. It was a great performance and [we have] Sunday now, against Tottenham - a great game and hopefully we'll play similar to today."
Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Trent Alexander-Arnold were among the scorers against Maribor.
