How Liverpool could line up against Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole looks at how Jurgen Klopp could set his side out for Liverpool's Champions League final clash with Tottenham Hotspur in Madrid.

Liverpool will bid to lift the European Cup for a sixth time in their history when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the Champions League this Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp's side have reached the biggest game in European club football for the second year in a row, having pulled off a miraculous comeback against Barcelona in the semi-final second leg.

However, they will be hoping for a much more positive night in Madrid than they endured last year, and will go into the all-English encounter as favourites to come away with the trophy.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Reds could line up for the contest.

Liverpool's main injury concern ahead of Saturday's final surrounds Roberto Firmino, who played just 11 minutes of the final five games of the season due to a groin injury.

Semi-final hero Divock Origi is on standby in case the Brazilian does not make it, although Klopp has suggested that he expects to have Firmino available to lead the line in Madrid.

The injury news was less positive regarding Naby Keita, though, with the Guinea midfielder still sidelined by a muscle problem and doubtful for this summer's Africa Cup of Nations in addition to being ruled out of Saturday's match.

Andrew Robertson suffered a calf strain during the final game of the league season against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but he is expected to have fully recovered in time for the weekend.

Klopp's biggest personnel choices will come in midfield, where James Milner will compete for a place with the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho and captain Jordan Henderson.

There is also a decision to make in defence, with the fit-again Joe Gomez pushing for inclusion ahead of Joel Matip as Virgil van Dijk's centre-back partner.
