Chris Wood unsure about Leicester City future

Ipswich Town loanee Chris Wood admits that he is unsure whether he has a future at Leicester City.

Striker Chris Wood has revealed that he is fully focused on his loan spell with Ipswich Town despite the uncertainty surrounding his future at parent club Leicester City.

After falling down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium, Wood will remain at Portman Road until the end of the season and the New Zealand international admits that he is unsure whether he will be given another opportunity with the Foxes.

The 23-year-old told BBC Radio Suffolk: "I'm focusing on the next 12 or 14 games. My focus is on helping Ipswich. My future is up in the air. I don't know what's going to happen.

"It's one of those things. Sometimes you need a Premier League striker when you go up. I never got a chance, but hopefully one day I will get that chance.

"I have all the confidence in myself. Hopefully when I do get that chance, I will take it."

Wood has featured nine times for Leicester in all competitions this season, but he made just one start in the top flight.
