Brighton & Hove Albion's unbeaten start to the new season has ended with a single-goal loss away at Sven-Goran Eriksson's Leicester City.
Lee Peltier had the ball in the net early on for hosts Leicester, but the goal was ruled out by the referee for a foul during the build-up.
The home side did eventually break the deadlock just one minute after the restart when Yuki Abe headed in a cross from Darius Vassell.
Brighton were reduced to ten men when Marcos Painter was sent off for a second bookable offence five minutes from time.
Next week Leicester travel to Cardiff City on Sunday, September 25, while Brighton play host to Leeds United on Friday evening.
