Nigel Pearson: 'Home form is critical to survival chances'

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson feels that his side's hopes of surviving in the Premier League rest on their ability to win their remaining matches at home.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson is adamant that his side's home form has to improve in order for them to remain in the Premier League.

The Foxes have the worst record at home in the top flight this season as they have taken just 10 points from their 12 matches at the King Power Stadium.

Pearson feels that turning their fortunes around at home could be the springboard they need to escape the bottom three in their 11 remaining matches.

"Our home form has not really been good enough this season," Pearson told the club's official website. "We would have expected it to have been better than it has.

"It goes without saying that we need to make sure that our form at home between now and the end of the season is a key factor for us in a positive way.

"If we can do that then there is a greater possibility of us climbing out of the bottom three. There's no doubting that our home form isn't what we have wanted it to be. Whether we've been unlucky or not is irrelevant because of where we are. It's what we do now that is most important to us."

Leicester play Hull City at the King Power Stadium later today.
