Claudio Ranieri rules out Italian national team job

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri reveals that he will not be replacing Antonio Conte as the head coach of Italy in the summer.

Claudio Ranieri has dismissed the suggestion that he will leave Leicester City in the summer to take charge of his native Italy.

A recent report claimed that Ranieri had been lined up by the Italian Football Association to replace Antonio Conte, who is expected to fill the managerial void at Chelsea following the conclusion of Euro 2016.

However, Ranieri has insisted that he is planning to see out the remainder of his contract at the King Power Stadium.

"I'm mostly a club's coach than a national team one," Corriere dello Sport quotes the 64-year-old as saying.

"I have a three-year deal with Leicester and I'm concentrated only to this. Then, never say never."

Ranieri's Foxes are currently five points clear at the top of the Premier League.
