Nigel Pearson warns Leicester City to maintain form

Leicester boss Nigel Pearson warns his troops that their early-season form will count for nothing if they fail to replicate the same "belief and desire" in every game.

Nigel Pearson has warned his Leicester City team that their early-season form will count for little unless they continue in the same vein throughout the campaign.

The newly-promoted Foxes have enjoyed a respectable return to the Premier League thus far, earning draws with Everton and Arsenal either side of an away defeat to Chelsea.

Stoke City represent Leicester's next test, and Pearson hopes that "belief and desire" can be the staples in a side that staves off relegation this term.

"Performances have been encouraging so far but we've another tough opponent in Stoke City on Saturday," he told reporters.

"If we show the same belief and desire we have so far then we'll do well in the Premier League this season."

Saturday's clash at the Britannia Stadium is scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
