David Nugent disappointed by Everton draw

Leicester City striker David Nugent admits that he is disappointed after his side were denied a win at Everton with a late goal.

Leicester City striker David Nugent has said that he is disappointed after his side failed to beat Everton.

The struggling Foxes were on course to pick up a crucial three points at Goodison Park on Sunday, as goals from Nugent and Esteban Cambiasso had given Leicester the lead, cancelling out Steven Naismith's opener.

However, Romelu Lukaku's diving header was diverted into his own net by Matthew Upson with two minutes remaining as the game finished 2-2.

"Nobody expected us to come away from home and pick up points," the Belfast Telegraph quotes Nugent as saying.

"To concede like that is a killer but it's a point."

The result leaves Leicester bottom of the table, four points adrift of safety.
