Brendan Rodgers expects to have Jamie Vardy back training with Leicester City before the end of this current international break.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy is expected to be back training in the next week or so.

The Englishman has been struggling with fitness problems since the turn of the year, having only featured in two of the previous 15 fixtures, and he is currently on the shelf again.

The 35-year-old suffered a knock during the 1-0 victory against Leeds United, and since that point, he has missed four games, including the matches against Rennes in the Europa Conference League.

"The likes of Jamie, it is a week to a couple of weeks, so that is looking much healthier for us," Brendan Rodgers told the press.

"Hopefully Jamie should be back training with us within the next week or so, which is great news, and he might not be too far away after the international break."

Vardy has featured in 18 Premier League games this season, and he has contributed 10 goals for the Foxes throughout them.
