Kasper Schmeichel could miss Manchester United clash with muscle problem

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri claims that goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is a doubt for this weekend's clash against Manchester United with a muscle injury.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has claimed that goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel could miss this weekend's clash against Manchester United because of a muscle problem.

The 29-year-old, who was ruled out of the team's 3-0 victory over Burnley with concussion, withdrew from training on Thursday.

"Kasper Schmeichel is good," Ranieri told reporters. "Today he made some training session, but he has a little pain to the muscle.

"Tomorrow I will check. I don't know now which muscle it is. He said to me, 'I feel something here'. So I said to him" 'Go inside.' I am not the doctor, sorry.

"Let me check tomorrow. If it is nothing serious, he will come and play. If not, he will stay at home."

The defending Premier League champions are looking for their first back-to-back wins of the season when they travel to Old Trafford.
