Leeds United are looking to sign Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic before the transfer window closes, according to a report.
The Bosnia international has slipped down the pecking order at Goodison Park after spending the second half of last season out on loan at Middlesbrough.
A return to the second tier is on the cards, as The Mirror suggests that Leeds have tabled a £4.5m bid for the 25-year-old.
United boss Marcelo Bielsa will talk Everton into a loan move if that permanent offer is rejected, it is claimed, with the fiery Argentine looking to add to his midfield options.
Besic joined Everton from Hungarian side Ferencvaros in a £4m deal four years ago, and has gone on to make 37 Premier League appearances for the club.
