Leeds United sign Marius Zaliukas

Former Hearts captain Marius Zaliukas signs a contract with Leeds United that will keep him at Elland Road until the end of the season.

Leeds United have completed the signing of former Hearts captain Marius Zaliukas.

The 29-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a contract that ties him to the Championship club until the end of the season.

Leeds manager Brian McDermott told the club's official website: "I'm delighted sign Marius.

"He is a player with a lot of experience. He's played for his country and he's a good age for a centre-half. It's fantastic to have him on board."

Zaliukas has been capped 21 times by Lithuania at senior international level.
