Leeds United have reportedly identified Iran international Morteza Pouraliganji as a potential signing.
The Championship outfit have made a strong start to the season having made five summer signings, but Marcelo Bielsa has indicated that the club remain active in the transfer market.
According to reports in Tehran, Leeds are ready to firm up their interest in Pouraliganji, who represented his country at the World Cup earlier this summer.
The 26-year-old is available on a free transfer after leaving Al-Sadd, and Leeds are keen to strengthen their backline before the end of the month.
Brighton & Hove Albion and Trabzonspor have both recently held an interest in Pouraliganji, who played every minute of Iran's three matches against Morocco, Portugal and Spain at the World Cup.
