Leeds United have stepped up their interest in Rangers left-back Borna Barisic, according to a report.
After an impressive first year back in the Premier League, finishing ninth in 2020-21, manager Marcelo Bielsa is now looking to bolster his squad this summer and a left-back is a position he will look to prioritise.
According to Football Insider, the Yorkshire outfit are monitoring the Croatian and they have sent scouts to watch him closely at Euro 2020.
Barisic missed Croatia's opening match of the tournament against England last weekend due to injury, but he is hoping to return to training soon and feature at some point during the group stage.
The 28-year-old has three years remaining on his contract with Rangers and the Scottish Premiership champions are under no pressure to sell one of their star defenders.
Barisic, who has 20 caps for Croatia, had a brilliant campaign with Steven Gerrard's side last season, recording five goals and 14 assists in 50 appearances across all competitions.
