Luciano Becchio is said to be interested in a move back to Leeds United as he is "frustrated and not very happy" with life at Norwich City.
The Argentinian forward, who joined the Canaries on transfer deadline day in January from Leeds, finds himself fourth in the strikers' pecking order behind Ricky van Wolswinkel, Gary Hooper and Johan Elmander at Carrow Road and has only featured for 14 minutes in the Capital One Cup this term.
Earlier today, Leeds manager Brian McDermott confirmed that he had approached Norwich to bring Becchio back on loan but had not been successful.
"I made an enquiry to (Norwich manager) Chris Hughton regarding Luciano Becchio and he wasn't available. Will it change? Who knows? Things do," said McDermott in a press conference.
According to PA, Becchio has accepted Norwich's reluctance to let him go at the moment but will try to move on in the January transfer window.
