A number of reports have claimed that Steve Evans is on the brink of losing his job as Leeds United manager.
The speculation has come about following last night's 4-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion, with all four of the home side's goals being scored in the space of 20 first-half minutes.
Leeds owner Massimo Cellino left the Amex Stadium during the interval and is believed to have demanded that Evans did not address the media after the final whistle.
Evans, 53, accepted that order and passed on the responsibility to his assistant Paul Raynor.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Raynor said: "We know you are going to ask questions and we know you want answers.
"We are trying to give answers to the players on what we think of that first-half performance which was absolutely shambolic, not good enough, and certainly not good enough for Leeds United.
"We can't worry about the chairman. If I was him I would have gone as well to be fair, because he doesn't want to see his football club playing like that and I don't blame him for that."
Should Cellino decide to wield the axe, Evans will become the sixth boss to have been sacked by the Italian since he gained control at Elland Road in January 2014.
