Leeds United dismiss David Hockaday exit reports

Leeds United confirm that David Hockaday remains in his post with the club despite reports that the head coach was on the verge of being sacked.

Leeds United have dismissed speculation that David Hockaday had been sacked from his role as manager of the Championship side.

Following the team's 4-1 defeat to Watford yesterday afternoon, it was reported that the club's owner, Massimo Cellino, was preparing to part company with the former Forest Green boss, who was appointed in June.

In response to the reports, the club issued a brief statement through their Twitter account:

Leeds have lost three of their first four fixtures in the Championship this season, leaving them 21st in the table.
