Tyler Roberts has revealed that the Leeds United squad continue to believe that they are the best team in the Championship.

Despite sitting in second place in the standings, Leeds have won just two of their last nine league games, suffering four defeats during the same period.

However, while the Yorkshire giants have made a habit of squandering chances in the final third, Roberts feels that he and his teammates can turn things around in the race for promotion.

Speaking to the Yorkshire Post, the 21-year-old said: "All of the boys know we are the best team in the Championship and we deserve to go up. We have shown that, even last season and this season especially with our performances, dominating game after game.

"We know that we have got it in ourselves and we believe we can get it over the finish line."

Leeds face rivals Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Bristol City in their next three matches.
