Massimo Cellino: 'Leeds United to win promotion next season'

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino believes that his side will push for promotion to the Premier League next season, but the team are not ready to achieve that this year.

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has suggested that he wants the team to be promoted to the Premier League next season.

The Whites are currently 10th in the Championship table having lost just once so far this season, but Cellino has insisted that the team are not ready for a promotion push this year.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Cellino said: "I'd like to grow something, throughout next season to go to Premier League. This year, if we get close I will take this.

"But we still must build and grow. [The team is] not ready yet."

Leeds will take on Middlesbrough in the Championship on Saturday.
