Lazio centre-half Stefan de Vrij has hinted towards signing a new contract at the Stadio Olimpico.
The 25-year-old has forged a reputation as one of the best defenders in Europe following his £6.3m move from Feyenoord in 2014.
De Vrij, who is currently in the last 12 months of his contract, has been heavily linked with a move to England, with Liverpool and Manchester United among the reported suitors.
Speaking after Lazio's 2-1 win over Juventus on Saturday, the Dutchman told reporters: "I'm very happy to be here, we are talking to the club now and I hope to find an agreement.
"You never know what will happen, but my intention is to grow, improve and make the best decision for my career."
The Biancocelesti are reported to have put an offer on the table that will keep De Vrij in Rome until 2020.
