Claudio Marchisio has insisted that talks of a crisis in the Juventus camp are "totally wide of the mark".
The Old Lady were held to a 1-1 draw by Inter Milan on Tuesday night to see their lead at the top of Serie A cut to just one point.
Defeat against Napoli in the Italian Super Cup final last month has further increased the pressure on Juventus, although Marchisio has moved to put the situation into some perspective.
"Maybe we could have handled certain games better, but speculation about physical or psychological problems is totally wide of the mark," he told Sky Sport Italia on Thursday.
"There are always peaks and troughs in a season but when you come up against teams like Napoli you can't fail to get fired up for the game."
Roma will climb to the top of the table if they can beat Lazio in the Derby della Capitale on Sunday afternoon.
