Juventus to begin Serie A campaign at Chievo

Juventus will begin the defence of their Serie A title at Chievo, while last year's runners-up Napoli make the trip to Lazio.

Juventus have been given an away fixture at Chievo on the opening day of the new Serie A campaign.

The top-flight champions will be looking to win the title for the eighth straight year, and Massimiliano Allegri's team begin that attempt against a team who finished in 13th place last season.

However, the pick of the first batch of games sees Napoli - now coached by Carlo Ancelotti - make the trip to the Stadio Olimpico to face Lazio.

The following weekend sees Lazio make the trip to Turin to play Juventus, where new signing Cristiano Ronaldo could make his first appearance in a Juve shirt at the club's home ground.

Roma open up with fixtures against Torino and Atalanta BC before a meeting with AC Milan takes place at San Siro on September 2.

Inter Milan have avoided each of the big clubs in their opening three matches, with Sassuolo, Torino and Bologna facing Luciano Spalletti's team.
