Sami Khedira announces return to fitness

Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira, who joined the Serie A champions in the summer, announces his return to fitness following a thigh problem.

German midfielder Sami Khedira has revealed that he is now available for selection following a frustrating start to his Juventus career.

The 28-year-old joined the Italian champions from Real Madrid in the summer, but a thigh injury has prevented him from making a single first-team appearance this season.

The midfielder has now returned to fitness, however, and is ready to play his part for the struggling Old Lady.

"I'm happy to return to the disposal of the team and to help my teammates, because we're Juventus and we never give up. Until the end, Forza Juventus!" Khedira wrote on his Facebook page.

Juventus have only won one of their first six Serie A games this season, with that disappointing run of form leaving them in 15th position in Italy's top division.
