Dave Jones has emerged as an applicant for the vacant Ivory Coast job after the nation's football federation revealed the 59 hopefuls that have come forward for the role.
The former Cardiff City and Wolverhampton Wanderers boss hasn't featured in the dugout since he was sacked as Sheffield Wednesday chief in December 2013.
Former Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni and ex-France manager Raymond Domenech are two other men who have thrown their name into the hat.
The 59 applicants will eventually be whittled down to a shortlist of three before the Ivorian officials make their final decision regarding Herve Renard's replacement.
