Report: Ipswich Town close in on duo

Kirk Broadfoot and Joel Grant will reportedly become Ipswich Town players in the near future.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy is reportedly close to adding Kirk Broadfoot and Joel Grant to his squad.

The pair are expected to sign on at Portman Road over the coming days following discussions with McCarthy, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

Scotland international Broadfoot, 28, featured on over 30 occasions for Ipswich's Championship rivals Blackpool last season and can play at either full-back or centre-back.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old winger Grant is a free agent following his release from Wycombe Wanderers. He scored 14 times from 68 outings for the Chairboys.
