Scottish Premiership roundup: Win for Inverness, Hamilton slip up

Inverness move level with Scottish Premiership leaders Hamilton after a home win.

A win for Inverness Caledonian Thistle moves them into second in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon, joint on 23 points with leaders Hamilton Academical.

A solitary strike from Marley Watkins was enough for Inverness to see off their visitors and keep the pressure on Alex Neil's men at the summit, who went down 2-0 away at Dundee.

David Clarkson and Greg Stewart struck for Dundee at Dens Park, cementing a good win against the division's current pace setters.

Elsewhere there were draws for Partick Thistle and St Johnstone who played out a goalless draw, while St Mirren and Ross County managed two goals apiece.

Celtic, who have two games in hand on the league leaders, entertain Kilmarnock tomorrow.

Results in full: Dundee 2-0 Hamilton Academical, Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-0 Dundee United, Partick Thistle 0-0 St Johnston, St Mirren 2-2 Ross County
