Inter Milan are reportedly considering a mid-season offer for Borussia Dortmund attacker Mario Gotze.
The 27-year-old will see his current deal with BVB expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter explored the possibility of signing the German during the summer transfer window but did not make an official bid.
The report claims that the Italian giants remain interested in the versatile attacker, though, and are considering launching an offer when the January transfer window opens for business.
Antonio Conte's side signed the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku during the summer, while the club are said to be eyeing a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen at the start of 2020.
Gotze has made 84 appearances during his second spell with Dortmund, having returned to the club in 2016 following a three-year spell with Bayern Munich.
