Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni has said he is confident that his side will have a successful time in 2013.
The Nerazzurri drew 1-1 with Genoa at home on Saturday and will head into the winter break fourth in Serie A.
"We knew this was a difficult time with many problems, including some that aren't hitting the headlines," he told reporters.
"The result might not seem positive, but I still want to compliment the lads. Despite going behind to a buttoned-down team, we are left with regret at not winning the game."
Stramaccioni refused to speak about Inter's activity during the January transfer window.
"I don't want to talk about the transfer window or who we could do with," said the Italian. "I just want to praise the players who wear the Inter jersey now.
"The foundations are in place for a great 2013. We might adjust occasionally, but the 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 remain our basic systems."
Inter are nine points behind leaders Juventus.
