Centre-forward Diego Milito says that he has no plans to retire from professional football.

Inter Milan striker Diego Milito has moved to play down speculation that he could retire during the summer.

The Argentine picked up a serious knee injury back in February that has ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign, with some reports having suggested that he may not make a full recovery.

However, despite admitting that he may leave Inter, the 33-year-old has revealed that his intention is to continue playing.

"My future? I expect to start playing again. There's just one goal in my head right now and that's to try and make a good recovery and get back on the pitch," he told the club's official website.

"Will I end my career at Inter? I honestly don't know. I've always said that I'd like to go back to Argentina and play with the club I started with. You never know.

"Now I'm focused on recovering and getting back on the pitch. I don't know what will happen after that."

Milito joined Inter from fellow Italian outfit Genoa in 2009.
