Hull City record a 3-2 victory over Leeds in a Yorkshire derby, with Sunderland loanee Ahmed Elmohamady the star performer.

Ahmed Elmohamady scored one and set up two as Hull City continued their fine start to the Championship season with a 3-2 win over Leeds United at Elland Road tonight.

They were forced to come from behind however, as Luciano Becchio gave the hosts an eighth-minute advantage from the penalty spot in the all-Yorkshire clash.

Summer-arrival El Hadji Diouf was brought down in the box by Joe Dudgeon and Becchio stepped up to convert past Ben Amos.

The Tigers stopper, who is on loan at City from Manchester United, was responsible for keeping the deficit to just one as he produced a fine double save to deny Leeds defender Rudolph Austin.

Another Hull loan signing, Elmohamady, turned the game around as he scored and assisted a goal within a six-minute period.

The Sunderland winger firstly levelled the match when he struck low across Paddy Kenny after a mistake from United centre back Tom Lees.

He then turned provider when his cross was headed in by former Stoke City defender Abdoulaye Faye on 29 minutes.

Elmohamady rounded off a fine display when his cut back was turned home by Robert Koren, with Leeds left short in defence as they pushed for an equaliser.

Andy Gray headed in an injury-time consolation for Neil Warnock's side, but it was too little, too late, as Steve Bruce's visitors took home the points and the local bragging rights.
