Hull City have reportedly sacked manager Nick Barmby following a meeting with the club's owners.
It is expected that the club will make a statement at 4pm announcing the former Tigers player's departure, according to BBC Sport, following an internal disciplinary hearing.
It was reported that Barmby had been suspended by the club following comments made to the media at the end of April, although no official confirmation was made.
Former Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies has emerged as an early candidate for the role.
