Young duo Matt Crooks and Jordan Sinnott have had their contracts mutually terminated by Huddersfield Town.
Both players' contracts were due to expire at the end of the season, but they will now try to find new clubs as free agents.
"Matt and Jordan are both great characters to have around the training ground; they have been at the club for a number of years and came through the academy," manager Chris Powell told the club website.
"Both were due to be out of contract at the conclusion of the current season and we believe it is fair to release them now and give them every chance of securing a future at a new club."
Crooks, 21, made one appearance for the Terriers' first team, while Sinnott, 20, turned out three times for the West Yorkshire outfit.
