Hednesford Town manager Rob Smith has revealed that everyone at the club is relishing the prospect of entertaining Crawley Town in the FA Cup first round.
The Pitmen, who are currently top of the Conference North, host the League One outfit at Keys Park on November 9, and Smith is happy that his players will get the opportunity to test themselves against a team three divisions above them.
Smith told the club's official website: "I think that it's a great draw. To be at home was important for me and to draw a team in the upper places of League One exceeded my expectations.
"All of the players and management are very excited about testing themselves against a quality side and I'm very proud of the lads for achieving what we set out to do at the start of the season."
Hednesford famously reached the fourth round of the FA Cup in 1997, before losing 3-2 to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.
